Symptoms

Self-diagnosable - The skin condition has a distinctive pattern. Plates of skin-shaped like diamonds separated by red bands form a network.
There may be stretch marks.
It may start in the shin and progress to other areas of leg.
There may be irritation accompanied by sleep deprivation.
Inflammation in some cases is associated with it.

Treatment

Self-Care: A patient should avoid scrubbing, by all means, bathe in cold water and reduce friction on the same.

Medicines: In the initial stage, topical mid-level steroid ointments may be applied.
Use antibiotics that cover staphylococcal or streptococcal infections.
Wet compress in the first few days is recommended.
Soak and smear treatment is useful.
