About
A parasitic infestation on the scalp by Pediculus humanus capitis, commonly known as the Head Louse, causing irritation and itching

The infestation of head lice follows a life cycle that of the parasite. The eggs of the head lice called Nits hatch in about 1 week to release a Nymph that matures into an adult in 7 days. The adult lice have a life span of 30 days on a person’s body and die within a couple of days if they cannot feed on blood regularly. They spread through head-to-head contact.
