Ringworm or Tinea capitis is a fungal infection of the scalp. Some ringworm of the scalp can cause inflammation on the site of the infection which can cause scarring or permanent hair loss.

Symptoms:

Self-care:
- Keep the area as clean as possible. Wash the affected area with water and antibacterial soap daily.
