On the arrival at the hospital, the patient will be asked to change into a hospital gown. Before the surgery, the patient will be given a small dose of anesthesia. Once the patient is under sleep, an incision will be made below the navel. Then a medical instrument called a laparoscope is inserted into the abdomen to view and locate the cyst.
Once the cyst is found, the surgeon will remove the cyst and close the incision.
