Rise of Lifestyle Diseases:
The world is witnessing an alarming rise in lifestyle disorders, also known as non-communicable diseases (NCDs). According to the World Health Organization (WHO), NCDs account for nearly 71% of all deaths globally. These disorders are a result of a combination of poor lifestyle choices, such as lack of physical activity, unhealthy diet, and tobacco and alcohol consumption.
The rise in lifestyle disorders is a cause for concern as they can have long-term impacts on an individual’s health and well-being. Some of the common lifestyle disorders include heart diseases, stroke, diabetes, thyroid etc.
One of the major factors contributing to the rise in lifestyle disorders is the changing lifestyle of individuals. With the advancement in technology, people are leading a sedentary lifestyle, which means they are not engaging in physical activities. Instead, they are spending most of their time sitting in front of their computers or watching TV. Additionally, unhealthy dietary habits, such as the consumption of fast and processed food, have also contributed to the rise in lifestyle disorders.
Another factor that has contributed to the rise in lifestyle disorders is the lack of awareness among individuals. Many people are not aware of the risks associated with an unhealthy lifestyle. They often ignore the symptoms and do not seek timely medical intervention. MFine encourages everyone to not ignore signs and consult a specialist for timely diagnosis and treatment. So, be it prediabetes symptoms, a joint pain or digestive concerns, get a doctor consult on priority.
